Having been born in a lineage of Cofán shamans, Ruben is following his grandparents and his father Rufino’s steps to become a great Taita (shaman). 

Ruben has been learning the Yagé science for the last 20 years (since he was 10 years old) to preserve the ancient wisdom of his Cofan community in Ecuador and serve those seeking healing and spiritual support.
